Alex Roman’s The Third and The Seventh

Just watch this:

Architecture has been a theme for me recently. We stayed in an Arthur Erickson designed house over Christmas. It was a treat, as he was an idol of mine when I was younger. These shots are from the stay.

But Alex has taken us to another world, bringing something more out of architechtural space with his acute eye for CG cinematographic elegance. Every shot is a near masterpiece. It is cliche for me to say that I believe a visual is great when I wish I had captured it myself. This happened continuously throughout the film, except that ‘I wish I had capture that shot’ was often followed by ‘..ohhh, so that’s how that still is meant to move…’

What a treat.
