One of the unique aspects of grad here is that you graduate with your college (not your class or program), making the walk through the town to the Senate House. I suspect, in addition to tradition, this has a nice tourist angle: the atmosphere of Cmabridge can only be augmented with robed graduates walking through town 5 times a year.

Somewhere around this point, we entered to be granted our degrees. No photos were allowed though, so none to share. Typical for Cambridge, it’s a strange finger-holding, then kneeling affair, with various latin verse and funny hats. Then back into the blinding sunlight.

Congratulations Brendan All your hard work is rewarded!! Just the addition of a few bagpipes would really set it off……. on second thought …may not fit into Cambridge tradition. See you in Sept. Marie

You make us proud, B: a wonderful slide show- not as good as being there, of course, but pretty damned good.

How many from your class made it back for the ceremonies?

And what are some of the more exciting things ESD grads are doing now?
