$100 James Bond Suits - Getting Closer

I got a lot of interest from the initial James Bond Suit post. Mostly from women. Nice.

For those who are new, I’m trying to get a knockoff of James Bond’s ridiculously priced/nice Tom Form suit made in Ethiopia. Well, the first option’s almost here, from Nazrawi Tailors up in the Piassa hills, but it looks like I’ll be mistaken for a cocktail server. Not exactly what I had hoped. In the meantime I had kicked off the process at a second tailor - Ambassador. They are the largest high end outfit in Addis, with shops all over. They also have a nice little made to measure shop in the centre of town. A week after placing my order I was back for the Prova, where they try the basic pattern on to see how it’ll fit. At this point, given this and their attention to detail (we moved the top button about 5 times, all within 1 cm), I’m excited about the second attempt to look like James for 1/50th of the cost. Well, 1/40th. This one’s a shocking 150$.
